Shotgun microphone set for broadcast applications

The Rode NTG5 Kit is a professional recording set including a shotgun microphone and various accessories for daily work on set, in the studio or on the go.

Perfectly suited for the broadcast sector, the NTG5 microphone scores with a maximum sound pressure level of 130 dB, a self-noise of only 10 dBA and a sensationally high sensitivity of 66 mV. This allows almost all sound sources to be transmitted in the highest broadcast quality, while a fantastically transparent and completely coloration-free sound is guaranteed.

Thanks to RF technology and state-of-the-art, vacuum-sealed electronics (conformal coating), the NTG5 is also extremely climate-resistant and practically completely insensitive to interference — perfect and indispensable for outdoor recordings.

With a low weight of only 76 g and a length of 20 cm, the NTG5, made of high-quality aluminium, is an ideal boom pole microphone. Although compact, it also has an exceptionally high directivity, which is even increased by the included foam windshield.

To round off the package, various accessories are included: On board is the PG2-R pistol grip with its Rycote double-lyre and the PG2-R Pro cable. This provides optimal isolation for the microphone, while disturbing structure-borne noise or noise mechanically transmitted via the connection cable are no longer an issue. The base offers a 3/8" thread to attach the NTG5 together with the PG2-R to the supplied boom pole, while alternatively the also included RM5 microphone clamp can be used. Added is a deluxe furry windshield (WS10) that allows trouble-free operation up to wind force 5, as well as a ZP1 carrying case.
