Your first studio rental (IMPORTANT!)

Reservation / Prices / Liability

  • Who is liable for damages?
    As in other rental studios, liability for damage to equipment, the rooms and everything else lies entirely with you (the renter). Responsibility for all persons participating in your shoot, as well as their actions and everything else that occurs in the context of your rental.
    Therefore, the photographer / videographer who uses the studio and operates the equipment should actually always rent the studio.
  • Insurance
    You must have valid liability insurance that fully covers studio and equipment rentals! You will also confirm this to me in writing at your first rental. If in doubt: speak with your insurance agent BEFORE your first rental.


Buffer rules (for calendar reservations)

  • A gap of 15 minutes must be maintained before existing reservations
  • A gap of 30 minutes must be maintained after existing reservations


Rental start (of your first studio rental)

Because a first rental is always associated with an introduction to the rooms, equipment and rules, special time windows and regulations apply to the rental start.
Your briefing is free of charge if your rental BEGINS within the following time periods:

  • Monday to Friday: 09:00 - 12:00 / 14:00 - 18:00
  • Saturday / Sunday / Public holiday: 10:00 - 18:00

If your first rental is to begin outside these periods, we charge an additional fee - time-dependent - of at least €30 for the briefing.

Briefing

Every first-time renter receives - mandatory - a one-time, free studio briefing:

  • Your briefing starts from the Start of your reservation, so it is part of the first rental and must be taken into account by you when making the reservation.
  • The briefing lasts - depending on need - approx. 20 to 30 minutes
  • Since we have to wait for you and have scheduled the briefing, billing for your studio rental will in any case begin at the start of your reservation - even if you arrive later.
  • Be absolutely (over-)punctual, otherwise your rental may not be able to take place!

  • If you require a repeat briefing (e.g., if another photographer is present), we charge €15 for this


Parking


Your first visit

  • When do I have to arrive at the studio?
    Your studio rental begins at the start of your reservation. If you are with us about 5 minutes before the rental starts, everything is perfect!
  • How do I get into the studio?
    When you are on-site with us (see Directions) you enter the premises "Gewerbepark Riethmüller" via the side yard (Schülestraße, right at the zebra crossing) and go directly into the stairwell. Up to the second floor and immediately the first door on the right in the corridor "Teckstudio". Now just ring at "Teckstudio" and we will take care of you. Do not ring in your studio - this is your customer doorbell during your rental and you are not there yet 😅.
    In emergencies you can always reach us on our emergency number.
    Please note that other renters must under no circumstances be allowed to open the door for you. The same applies to you, by the way - YOU MUST NEVER let strangers into the studio. The door is already open? Then another studio user was careless. Please close the door and still ring normally, otherwise we won't know you're there, and we have over 1500 sqm here - you will never find us. 😂
  • What do I need to bring to my first rental?
    Very important for the first rental: your ID card!
  • And what else should I bring?
    Yourself, possibly a model (alternatively you can also work with Silent Sally ), your camera (alternatively you of course have the option to rent a studio camera), memory cards (empty), batteries (charged) and anything else you can think of.
  • What if I have questions during my rental?
    During your first rental, a studio attendant is continuously available. They will gladly help you with any questions and uncertainties within the scope of your rental.

Billing

  • How is billing handled?
    The calculation of your studio rental always takes place in the period studio entered ("lights on") until studio left ("lights off") - to the exact minute. Only additional consumptions such as chargeable equipment, drinks and damages are added.
    Important: For customers without their own access card, the rental begins at the latest at the time of the reservation, because we have to wait for you, so please be punctual.
    Billing is always carried out after your rental and exactly according to your usage by invoice. We send your invoice monthly, at the end of the month, as a consolidated invoice which you can then conveniently settle within seven days by bank transfer, direct debit (authorization) or PayPal.
    If you need your invoice earlier or separately, please be sure to tell us directly at: Contact.
    Subsequent corrections to invoices cause us work and therefore cost you €5. Please make sure that we always have the correct billing details.
  • Foreign billing address
    Unfortunately we can only offer payment by invoice to German billing addresses. If you require a foreign billing address, this is only possible with prepayment. Unfortunately we cannot offer VAT-exempt invoices!
  • Can I also pay in cash or by card?
    Yes, both are possible.
  • Will I receive a valid invoice?
    Yes, of course you will receive a legally valid invoice with VAT shown by e-mail.
